Register, and you can post your comments on each and every article through the comments-link ! I like good food & trendy places, I enjoy concerts and special events, I travel a good amount for business and pleasure, and I work in the Telecommunication industry. That should give you a clue about my perspective on the topics listed on this blog-site.
About this site...
This site is build as a quick proof of concept with the Drupal CMS system (version 6.28 - I am considering when to take the plunge and implement Drupal v7 released in January 2011 - let me know if you have some migration experience between Drupal 6 and 7 sites... I have quite a few sites to do, hence my hesitance to get started) - and will continue to expand and evolve to toy around with various Drupal modules and features - while at the same time serving as a gathering place for interesting links.
Following software packages / services are being used on this website
- Flickr picture services, MyFlickr - see embedded content
- Flickr Flash Badge service and Mentalaxis Flickr Badge
- Google Adsense, a great advertising service
- Drupal Content Management System, Drupal pack 6.28
- Drupal Adsense Integration module, a bit of extra glue to integrate Drupal and Google
- Drupal image management through the add-in module Image Picker - unfortunately I had to abandon this module as it does not support Drupal's Private Download mode - read more on this Drupal ImagePicket Issue
- Drupal image management through the add-in module IMCE - less good than ImagePicker, but at least it works in my Drupal configuration !
- Drupal image viewer plugin Lightbox2
- Drupal Read-More link enhancement module
- Drupal rich text / HTML BUEditor Module
- Drupal Nodewords Module enhancing the tuning options for site engine optimization (SEO)
- Drupal Private Module an easy and simple way to make "private" content in Drupal without too much overhead
- Drupal Antispam module - an easy way to make sure most spam contributions to your site are not accepted. Warning: they are still stored in the mysql database backing your drupal site, so the spammers are still able to run your mysql database out of space, which then makes drupal fall over and makes your site inaccessible (unable to login).
- Hosting services from 1and1 - for $5.00 per month you can host your own sites, including your own .com domain name, and plenty of storage and tools.
