Try another kind of Margarita: our Mistletoe Margarita

For the holiday season 2012 we created a festive cocktail based on Tequila - always a favorite - but keeping some distance from the traditional Margarita. So here is where we ended up after trying many varieties along the way...

Mistletoe Margarita

• 4 parts of Tequila (I used Sauza)
• 4 parts of mixed Cran (Cranberry) Pomegranate (I used Oceanspray brand)
• 2 parts of lime juice
• 2 parts of simple sugar syrup (look for the recipe here)
• 1 part of triple sec (I used Cointreau)
• 1 part of Grenadine syrup

Shake well before serving... as some of these fluids are heavier than others and wouldn't mix naturally and rather sink to the bottom !

Don't be afraid to experiment with the ingredients... on the web you will find many different interpretations of the same cocktail - and I'm sure there will be one that matches your taste like the mix above matches ours !
